Disposable products are widely used in mainland China, especially in hotels. Statistics indicate that about 25 billion pieces of disposal products are used every year in China’s registered hotels. Even before the inclusion of the unregistered hotels, this poses a significant threat to the environment. Disposable slippers make up a large proportion of these disposable products. Coil-Slipper aims to solve the problem to some extent through design. Coil-Slipper minimizes the work procedures necessary to create the product, and maximizes the use of raw material. This cuts costs and reduces pollution. Since the product can be rolled like a coil, transportation and storage are made easy. What’s more, Coil-Slipper gives users the brand new experience of making their own pair of slippers.
