It is as if an Italian architect from many years ago, I think you know the one, came into a furniture designer’s studio and said, “You! Take that lamp off it’s usual axis!” And thus the “Roly-Poly” lamp was born. Actually it was designer Jung Jae Yup that conceived of and executed this lovely bit of ball and stick with light on top. It’s got the bounce-back-up feature installed in addition to its lean, so you can box with it if you’ve got very small fists. Made of stainless steel.
The alternate title for this project is: “Zen.” I don’t believe I’ve ever met a Buddhist off his or her axis, have you?
