As the trend of at-home fitness expands to gaming platforms like Wii and XBox, it’s easy to imagine that the future holds even more exciting advancements in the physical relationship between man and machine. The Gymbot is one example of how our home workouts might evolve. If my trainer wasn’t so hot, I’d totally invest in a prototype!This humanoid robot has articulated joints and can mimic any human movement with ease, speed, and precision. To navigate, the bot uses a 3D video camera, scanner, and thermal camera located behind its helmet visor.
Like a professional human trainer, Gymbot will evaluate your heart rate, track your diet, the efficiency of your workouts, and even yell at you when you’re being lazy!
