One of the reasons why whales get stranded at beaches is because the signals that they send out gauge the depth of the waters may be distorted in areas where the shores are gently sloping. What happens is that they lose their way and bearings and end up washed onshore. The Whale Whispererr hopes to fix this problem.
This self-sufficient device (harnesses power via solar energy and from the waves), needs to be placed near coastlines where whales usually end up getting disoriented, due to the gentle slopes in the sea bed. They help in emitting the right feedback to the sonic signals sent out by the whales, thus preventing any accidents. Cool!
