Saitens is a creative seating solution first inspired by sketches from Leonardo da Vincis Codices that show sunrays shining onto a parabolic mirror forming a very interesting structure. Reflected in the form of the chair, these straight lines form a surprisingly organic surface that calibrates to the human body.
Aside from being aesthetically enchanting, this design is all about the connection between users who comfortably face each other when seated. A monocoque tubular frame lays the groundwork for 2 people to sit together. One piece of fishing line threaded through holes in the steel tube connects both seating spaces and creates indirect contact between users that can be felt with each shift or even subtle movements.
