Despite its agro name, the Volkswagen Interceptor is actually a friendlier take on futuristic patrol cars. Compared to other unnecessarily intimidating vehicles, this petit police car is designed to be a practical, no-frills approach.
It addresses several needs for law enforcement mobility including speed and agility on freeways, compact sizing for nimble maneuvering, and uninterrupted visibility, all while meeting emissions standards.
Inside, drivers and passengers will find almost 360 degree visibility through the glass cockpit which provides a safe cocoon for officers. Sporty seats are ergonomically designed to hug the body for extended comfort on long patrols. Emergency lights integrated into the roof are impossible to ignore yet tastefully subtle compared to oversized light bars and rotating beacons.
