Projectors are incredible devices, they allow us to have the experience of going to the cinema in the comfort of our own home and the expansive ‘screen’ ensures that we become fully immersed in the movie… but they do have one downside, they require a wall. Taekwon Yeon set out to design a projector that wouldn’t rely on having a wall or ceiling nearby, so it is not to be restricted by its surroundings, and his answer came in the form of Ray.
Ray is an ultra-short throw projector which features a self-screen that’s generated by light, this creates a futuristic and surreal spectacle that looks like it belongs in a sci-fi film! Concealed within Ray’s alluring design are integrated speakers to ensure for an immersing and unparalleled movie watching experience… wherever the user wishes.
