The RollEvac military vehicle concept uses biomimicry to aid in time-sensitive rescue and evacuation operations in combat situations. Inspired by the golden wheel spider, which curls its body into a wheel shape and rolls down sand dunes as a method of escape, the RollEvac maneuvers in an upright position, rolling over terrain with spring-loaded legs for traction. Inside, passengers are balanced and protected by the armored exterior while being transported to safety.
