One of the 34 semifinalists in the 2015 Electrolux Design Lab competition, the Flows system is an interactive way to monitor the air quality in your home. Inspired by dandelion flowers, the airy design consists of lightweight “Flowies” that navigate around the home like airborne jellyfish to collect data using pollution sensors. When they return to their base station, the data is collected and relayed to the user who can then make adjustments to improve air quality. Better yet, the Flowies are phosphorescent so they give off a beautiful, soothing, subtle glow at night as they float around! Love Flows? Vote for it here!
