A Wee Washing Machine!

Swash

In an age where urban dwellers’ living spaces are shrinking, there simply isn’t room for big, bulky washing machines. Designed with this in mind, Swash is a compact appliance that makes it possible to do a quick freshening of a few items so you don’t have to lug your laundry to the laundromat so often!

It consists of the washing unit and the washing basket as well as a simple and intuitive control interface that consists of only four buttons; start, stop, timer up, and timer down. Like a standard washing machine, the basket holds the dirty laundry. The process is streamlined as the basket is directly attached to the washing unit which can be mounted on any pail using three spring-loaded clamps.

So how does it work? The answer is… no different that a standard washing machine! When the washing cycle starts, the basket moves in a rotational motion. Once washing completes, the pail is emptied and Swash transforms into a dry spinner. The activation button located on Swash’s handle indicates the hand position required to grab the unit in order to begin. The basket keeps the clothes in and filters the water out into the pail and with that, the process is complete!
