Tvillingar is a literal twist on the metro train that flips the archetypical station and maglev halfway upside down! Unlike classic designs where the cars sit on top of a track, the inverted train is secured on the side and levitated with super magnet tech between its upper and lower decks. This requires a unique column rail system to support and elevate the double decker train above ground. Each column also features its own wind turbine to harness the wind energy created by the high speed metro. Additionally, at each station, specialized floors collect the crowd’s footstep energy as they move about!

“The thought behind the idea was on how to make the people chose the public transport. One of the ways was to let them get in the Metro with their bikes/skateboards, at the same time it should not be of any inconvenience to rest of the passengers. This concept is a levitated automatic metro which carries both type of passengers in different compartments. It’s more like a double decked modern train,” Designer Prathyush told YD.
