Some would argue that design trends never really disappear, they simply come and go. That orbit between popular and not is moving faster than ever and the Meizu Halo headphones are a perfect example.
It seems like it was just yesterday that manufacturers were harnessing the power of Bluetooth in order to ditch wires. The Halo headphones, however, are not only bringing the wire back, they’re highlighting it as a primary style feature of the design even though they’re Bluetooth-equipped. That’s right – these still require recharging to operate “wirelessly” from your device! So what’s the point of the wire? It’s purely aesthetic. Fit with micro-RGB LEDs from tip to tip, the color can be adjusted to the user’s personal taste with one simple adjustment. While some of us will gawk, there is indeed a whole market of ravers and light-up shoe wearers that will flock to these vibrant buds. If nothing else, it’s proof that design isn’t linear.
