They say that we’ve explored more in space than we have in our own oceans on earth. The RealDive concept aims to change all that with 3D-mapping meets immersive virtual reality tech. At the heart of the system is a deployable drone hub with high definition cameras and a myriad of sensors that detect and record movement in the depths of the sea.
Each is equipped with a smaller, highly maneuverable orb-style drone that can navigate away from the central hub to capture focused images on sea life subjects. The feed is then delivered in real time to users who can experience the underwater happenings from the comfort and safety of land. Either holographically projected or lived in via immersive VR, it links humankind to nature in an entirely new and technologically awesome way.
