This utilitarian lighting design is unrecognizable as a bedside lamp, but highly effective & energy saving. Named Capsule for its oblong shape, the lamp features an internal solar panel that collects energy during the day. To activate, simply lift the top of the shade to reveal a diffused, frosted glow. The adjustable lampshade features two different modes of operation – reading mode & damping mode. In reading mode, the shade remains static. In damping mode, however, it very slowly gravitates down, turning itself off once it reaches the bottom. Rotating the shade also adjusts the speed at which it lowers.
